Welcome to The Rock - A Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Santa Rosa
“My salvation and my honor depend on God ; He is my mighty rock, my refuge” Psalm 62:7
And that’s what we’re all about: Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. God loves you and has a good plan for your life. When we connect with Him, life is full of excitement, purpose, and blessing. We’re here to help you fully realize God’s love in a warm, caring environment, through sound exposition of the Bible, contemporary worship services, and various ministries to serve you and your family. Everything’s geared to help you become mature in your faith, knowledge, and love of God, that you might reach your fullest potential in Christ.
History
The Rock got its start in 2003 when Pastor Ross, his family, and a handful of folks from Calvary Chapel Petaluma rented a hall in Sebastopol to begin a new church. Within in a year, the church doubled in size, and we were able to remodel a larger space downtown. It wasn’t very long in the new facility, however, that we doubled in size once more and were forced to move again into a larger facility. We rented an entire third floor of an office complex which made for comfortable services until it happened again--we outgrew the facility. We moved to Sebastopol Community Center for Sunday morning services and began looking for a permanent location for our ever-growing church family.
During the winter of 2007, the Lord opened a door for us to lease a building that would become our church home. Since the majority of our fellowship was coming from surrounding communities, it wasn’t a big surprise to find an open door to remodel an ideal warehouse space in Santa Rosa. That’s when we became The Rock. We are now able to accommodate our growing children and youth ministries and enjoy having church offices on site. We are thankful to God for all His good blessings.
