Missions Overview
Missions - Mexico Trip
Each year we plan a missions trip to Mexico to serve in different ways. It’s a great way to introduce our youth to serving in this way. We visit the Bible college in Ensenada and help with various projects and ministry efforts. We also visit orphanages to bring relief and minister to the children there. We’ve also been involved with public evangelism, assisting the church in their efforts sharing the Gospel. Though it’s only a small part, it’s a wonderful blessing to be involved in answering the call of the Great Commission.
Missions - Beckman Family
Jacob and Yesenia Beckman have been a part of our fellowship from the beginning. They and their two boys were a part of what was then a very small church family. They served with the youth, the nursery, and set-up and tear-down in the early years of the church.
In 2005 they moved their family to Ensenada, with a desire to serve the local church and help send Mexican out missionaries.
Calvary Chapel Ensenada, the church where the Beckmans serve on the field, had acquired some land north of town and planned to build a Bible college on the property. On March 1, 2007, Jacob became the project manager for Calvary Chapel Bible College, Mexico.
Our fellowship has been supporting them from that time on in prayer, financial, pastoral, and administrative support. Although we are one of a handful of churches that support them, we are the church they call home. We also take part in their ministry by making regular trips to work at the Bible College and reaching out to the community.
The Bible College opened in August 2008, and Jacob continues to direct the expansion of the campus, as well as teaching a few classes and ministering to the students and staff. Yesenia cares for their young children and helps interpret for the deaf congregation at the church.
We are bearing fruit together with the Beckman family, as God raises up young lives at the Bible College, strengthened in His word to go out into all the world to proclaim His love!
