Statement of Faith

Philosophy of Ministry

We believe a church without love should not exist, that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our hearts and to love others the same way we love ourselves. It’s important to us, therefore, that we consider others better than ourselves and come to church willing to carry one another’s burdens.

We believe that a church without the true knowledge of God is no help to anyone. That’s why we teach expositionally through the Bible. Sound teaching is from God’s Word keeps us spiritually healthy, productive and on the straight and narrow path. We do not water down the Gospel or withhold portions of teaching that may be considered offensive or politically incorrect. The truth is to be taught in love, and we can know the truth and the truth will set us free.

We believe that God is worthy of our worship. Part of the way we worship Him is through music and singing. That’s why we open our services with contemporary music and spend some time lifting our praises toward heaven. It’s good to sing praises to the One who created and saved us.

Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one living and true God, existing eternally in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. There is no god except the God of the Bible.

We believe that the entire Bible, the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit without error, and are the infallible rule of faith and practice.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, literal miracles and teachings, His death in our place as an atoning sacrifice, His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, His constant intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to earth.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and the Son in righteousness and judgment to convict the world of sin, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide.

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and therefore are under condemnation; that God saves those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; and that the Holy Spirit comes into the Believer’s life empowering them for service.

We believe in the two ordinances that the Lord Jesus Christ committed to the Church: Water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, (Communion).

We believe in the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ to earth and in the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection from the dead and in the eternal, heavenly blessing of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked in hell.
